Hindu Scriptures consider marriage as a holy union planned even before taking birth. Marriage is also one of the most beautiful moments in one’s life. Everyone wants a good spouse with whom she/he can create some beautiful memories and feel happy. This is the area where the actual happiness of the person lies over. Where marriage is an important aspect in India, people today are very much interested in finding the perfect life partner. In Hinduism, horoscope or kundli of both boy and girl are matched in order to nullify any bad effects after marriage. Also, in case of any doshas, astrology offers several remedies and solutions to overcome its malefic effects.
But other religions like Sikh, Muslim and Christians etc do not believe in horoscope matching. In fact, there are some Hindu community who does not believe in any such kundali matching before marriage. So the question here is- Do you think it is necessary to match your kundli before marriage? We are not against any religion or their teachings. We are just trying to convey our personal opinion on this.
Look around you, people marry without astrology every day, and most can live a good life like that.
In fact, if you are talking about “Sun sign matching” (that is, “I’m a Virgo, he’s an Aries, are we compatible?”), you’re better of without it. This is something silly.
We do believe that marrying someone who is a good match for you astrologically might help in building a successful marriage over the long term.
However, even those who have very little in common astrologically can and do have good marriages. It takes commitment, an open mind and a willingness to see the other person as neither better or worse than you. They are just another person with some of the same fears, hopes and hangups as you have. They may express those hopes and fears differently from you, but humans are all similar in that way.
Learning to see them with a mature, compassionate, understanding attitude will go a long way towards a meaningful marital relationship.
True love is seeing the other person with all of their faults and differences and loving them anyway!
Marrying someone who matches well with you astrologically makes it much easier to relate to each other over the long term. It is not essential to have a good match, but a poor match will definitely require more work, commitment and love to sustain.
Matching astrology/kundli is a personal choice, it may or may not give you a long-lasting relationship but true love and compatibility with your partner will surely help you build the most wonderful relationship.
